The Names Family Foundation honors the passion of Scott and Evelyn “Sis” Names, who believed that every person deserves to live a healthy life with access to sports, athletics and play with plenty of opportunities to be physically fit. We support nonprofit organizations that are transforming lives through sports, physical activity and healthy lifestyle initiatives. We invest primarily in the Pierce County region, and in areas that have a direct link to the Names Family. Together we can impact lives in our community today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
The Names Family Foundation Board of Directors uses a Letter of Inquiry process. This basic information is submitted through our online grant software (link below) and is used by the Board to determine interest in a full proposal. Please call 253-236-7333 or email lsauer@namesfoundation.org with any questions.
Our LOI process for 2024 Is closed.
We will reopen for LOI acceptance in early 2025. When we do, here's the process:
To submit a Letter of Inquiry: If you do not have an account set up, the first step in the process is to establish an organizational account through our online grant-making platform by clicking the link below. From there you will be prompted to complete the Letter of Inquiry form which will include information about the project, timeline and type of request you are making.
Step By Step:
1. Click the “grant software login” button below and you’ll be transferred to the grant interface. Either create a profile if your organization is applying for the first time or log-in to your account.
2. Once logged in, start and complete the Letter of Inquiry (LOI) form. This LOI can be saved and submitted at any time before the August closure. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a timeline and next steps.
3. If invited to move forward, you will be notified by email to submit a full grant proposal for review by the board of directors.
4. If you have any questions, please reach out to Linsey Sauer via e-mail, lsauer@namesfoundation.org.
Thank you for making a difference for the people in our community.
