Today was a milestone day! GHCKRT presented a $100,000 donation to the City of Gig Harbor to be used to build the public Community Paddlers Dock at Ancich Park. Construction is slated for this fall, with the dock opening to the public by the end of the year. Mayor Kit Kuhn, wearing his Build the Dock t-shirt, was on hand to accept the donation, along with city council members Robyn Denson, Le Rodenberg, Spencer Abersold, Jeni Ager Woock, and city public works and planning staff who have been instrumental in making this project a reality.
Thanks to the generosity of the Names Family Foundation, the Port of Tacoma, and The Rotary Club of Gig Harbor, the team looks forward to presenting the city with a second even larger donation to the Community Paddlers Dock project in January while we are all standing on the new dock!
